What is White label reporting?

White label reporting is delivering analytics reports under your own brand, your logo, colors and name, while the underlying tool or template comes from a third party. The client sees the agency’s brand, not the vendor’s.

  1. Template
  2. Your brand
  3. Client report
  4. Client

One copy per client, each with its own branding.

Your logo, your colours, your domain: the client never sees the tool.

Why it matters

In Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) the mechanics are simple: a report is fully editable by its owner, so any template can be white-labeled by replacing the logo, applying brand colors and renaming pages with the standard editor. No special tier or license is involved.

How to read it

The practical test of a white label setup is the delivery path: the shared link and the scheduled email should both carry the agency’s identity. Because Data Studio sends scheduled emails from the report owner’s account, an agency-owned copy passes that test by default. The pattern extends beyond SEO: the same mechanics white-label a PPC, GA4 or all-in-one marketing report.

In a Data Studio report

Agencies typically keep one branded copy per client, each connected to that client’s own accounts. The branding lives in the copy, so rebranding never touches the data connections: changing a logo cannot break a chart.

Where to find it in Google

Data Studio: Theme and layout for colours and logo; File, then Report settings for the report name; there is no white-label option inside Google Analytics 4.
